Molly Guzik Sider:
On March 6, Syracuse women's lacrosse trekked to Evanston for a ranked clash with Northwestern. Sophomore Molly Guzik, who had a solid freshman campaign, was amid an early-season breakout. She then scored six goals (a career-high) against the Wildcats, leading SU to a thrilling 9-6 win. I wrote about Guzik's development for a sidebar game story.
Penn State Ice Hockey AHA Playoffs:
Syracuse ice hockey lost 7-0 to Penn State in Game 1 of the AHA Semifinals, as PSU's Olympians dominated SU. In her first game back from the Milan Olympics, Tessa Janecke continued cementing her Penn State legacy with three goals. Before the game, all Nittany Lion Olympians were honored.
